Coping with the Stresses of the COVID-19 Pandemic

There are many invaluable resources now available to help manage the anxiety and fear about this new COVID-19 disease. Taking care of our mental health, and that of others when we can, is an indispensable way to push ahead, and make it through this very stressful time. As a mental health professional who has witnessed many individuals, mostly older adults, face difficult circumstances and learned to problem solve, I want to pass along a very good article that may help with our very own problem solving. It is an important publication published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and one that I think gives us tools that can have a positive impact on our lives during this pandemic. The article (see link below) includes resources for immediate help, tips on coping for those with unique conditions, supporting children, strategies on taking care of our mental health, and looking ahead to recovery. This is an excellent article and community resource, and recommended as a good one to share.

The Living to 100 Club is a community of people with common interests and concerns about living longer, healthier lives. This article – and others like it – hopefully contribute to this mission.
