Embracing Aging

Aging used to be perceived as a time of physical frailty, mental decline, and eventual placement in a nursing home.
That perception is no longer valid. Today, we are viewing the elderly as capable, independent, and vital. What was once a time of loss and limitation is now considered a time of opportunity and the older adult population is a growing resource in our society.
The narrative is being changed from disease and disability to a view that old age is probably the best stage of life, with endless opportunities.
