In this Living to 100 Club podcast, we are honored to have as our guest Judith Heumann. Our guest is a lifelong advocate for disability awareness and the rights of disabled people. She is an internationally recognized leader in the disability rights community. Judy has traveled in her motorized wheelchair to countries on every continent. She has played a role in major legislation, including the Americans with Disability Act. Additionally, Judy has a long, distinguished career advising major public and private organizations, internationally, on education, rehabilitation, independent living. These and other issues address social justice for the disabled community.
This short time with our guest uncovers a tiny sample of the work she has done for disability awareness. As a good college friend while attending Long Island University in Brooklyn in the late 60’s, I am very happy to share this important conversation with our listeners.
