Our Inner Dialogue: Being Mindful of What We Say to Ourselves

This Living to 100 Club podcast invites as its guest Cheyne Towers. Cheyne is a London-based hypnotherapist who has been helping people transform how they speak to themselves for the best part of two decades. Our discussion focuses on our inner dialogue, our self-talk. How does our self talk affect our ways of coping with difficult events, trauma, and undesired behavior patterns? Can we stop looking at the past as if it’s here now? How do we gain clarity about what are our negative thought patterns? In what ways do we show self-forgiveness and self-compassion, two important steps toward overcoming our negative blocks? In addition, we touch on our guest’s passion for martial arts and how his use of Qigong helps with physical and mobility impairment. This is an inspiring conversation about self-communication from an authority on this subject.
