The Practice of Yoga for Seniors

This is a Living to 100 podcast about yoga for seniors and how to incorporate it into our daily routines and weave it into our day. Our guest is Jennie McGoy, Certified Yoga Instructor. We discuss the six main areas where yoga can be of benefit, especially for the 55+ age group. These are strength, balance, stretching, proprioception (awareness of where our body is in space), breathwork and meditation. Where can we do this practice if we don’t have time for a long class. What if we prefer to avoid group classes. Jennie will offer practical tips and recommendations, as well as how to tailor or customize a particular practice for individual needs. Be sure to join us for more on yoga for seniors.
