Neurologist Daniel Levitin insists that we really are wiser after 70. Read this interview with him as he discusses how variety isn’t just the spice of life, it is a requirement of life, keeping our bodies and our minds healthy and strong. He has written a book, “Successful Aging”, and in this interview, he discusses it, Cannabis, Pain, and Personality.

At the end of his book “Successful Aging”, he lists 10 rules called “Rejuvenating Your Brain.” Here is a sample:

1. Don’t retire. Don’t stop being engaged with meaningful work.

2. Look forward. Don’t look back. (Reminiscing doesn’t promote health.)

3. Exercise. Get your heart rate going. Preferably in nature.

4. Embrace a moderated lifestyle with healthy practices.
