Celebrating 300 Episodes of the Living to 100 Club Podcast!

We’ve reached a milestone! This conversation with author John R. Trauth marks the 300th episode of the Living to 100 Club Podcast.

Over the years, we’ve explored hundreds of ideas about living longer, healthier, and happier. It’s fitting that this milestone episode focuses on one of the most important ingredients in successful aging: optimism.

John joins Dr. Joe Casciani to discuss how optimism, resilience, and a sense of purpose can influence the way we experience growing older—and how we respond to life’s inevitable setbacks.

The conversation looks at what optimism really means—and how it differs from simply “thinking positive.” Joe and John discuss whether optimism and resilience can be strengthened, how our outlook affects the way we respond to life’s inevitable setbacks, and why having purpose and something to look forward to may become increasingly important as we grow older.
